Multifox is a free FireFox extension that fools your online accounts into thinking you have several computers in the same home. It tricks online accounts such as social media accounts into thinking your computer is actually a bunch of different computers that are all using the same IP address, which is why it allows you to log into several online accounts at the same time from the same FireFox browser.
Good for people with multiple online accounts
Maybe you have several Facebook accounts or Google+ accounts. It doesn’t make a lot of difference because the Multifox tool will work with most accounts with the exception of high-security accounts like your bank or PayPal. The social media platforms are fooled by the extension. They think your single browser is actually several independent FireFox browsers on different machines, so the social media platforms allow you to sign into numerous online accounts that you may then manage from one place. Simply click the relevant buttons on your web browser to switch from one account to another.
A very light and simple program
There isn’t really a GUI to learn when you use Multifox. You simply sign in to your account on one page, and then sign into another account on another page. There are small buttons at the top of your page you can use to switch between one and the other. Click the button, pick the profile you want to access next, and you are directed to it.
